Hotel 50 Bowery Reviews - if I'm being completely honest, I did not love New York City until I started staying at Hotel 50 Bowery.  It has changed my entire outlook on staying in New York City and has made my trips way more enjoyable.

Hotel 50 Bowery is located at 50 Bowery, New York, NY 10013 - in beautiful Chinatown! The rooftop bar is called The Crown and it is truly a jewel - it boasts beautiful views of the Manhattan Bridge Arch and beyond.  I would love to gatekeep this hidden gem but I simply cannot any longer.

Here are my top 3 favorite things about staying at Hotel 50 Bowery!

Benefit 1: The price!

The average price for this hotel is $260 per night before tax.  In truth, this is extremely competitive for Manhattan.  Hotel 50 Bowery is a Hyatt hotel - and is considered a category 5 hotel.  Category 5 hotels have a point structure of 17,000 points for off-peak stays, 20,000 for standard stays, and 23,000 for peak stays.  You get the feeling of a boutique hotel with the ability to redeem points - such a win-win!

Travel Hack: As a Hyatt cardholder, I earn points towards my Hotel 50 Bowery stays with everyday purchases.  I can also transfer Chase Sapphire rewards points over to my Hyatt account when needed!

Further, parking in the garage affiliated with the hotel is only $55 for 24 hours (44 Elizabeth Street).  You can easily spend $100 for 24 hours to park in Manhattan!

Benefit 2: The Comfort!

The rooms are always clean, and the beds are extremely comfortable.  I've also had really good luck with getting quiet rooms in this hotel.  While I have not ever been placed close to the rooftop bar, every room I have personally stayed in has been perfectly quiet.  This is no small feat considering Hotel 50 Bowery is in Manhattan!

I also love the bathrooms.  Further, I have vowed that I will copy the style of the shower when I buy a house and am ready to remodel a bathroom.

Hotel 50 Bowery Reviews - Benefit 3: The Location!

While this hotel might not be in the middle of the highest-traffic tourist areas in NYC, I prefer the Chinatown neighborhood to Times Square.

The food close to the hotel is amazing - I highly recommend Nam Wah Dim Sum Parlor (don't forget to bring cash or American Express!).  Little Italy has some

You are directly in the middle of Canal Street and Grand Street stations - both 7 minute walks away.

Some rough estimates of how quickly you can get around from Hotel 50 Bowery via a bit of walking and riding the subway:

Metropolitan Museum of Art - 40 minutes (out of Canal Street Station)

Rockefeller Center - 30 minutes (out of Grand Street Station)

Downtown Brooklyn - 25 minutes (out of East Broadway Station)

Grand Central Station - 20 minutes (out of Canal Street)
